The Thunderbirds are back!
After a two year absence, the thunderous roar of the United States Air Force Thunderbird’s F-16 demonstration team will be tearing through the skies over Homestead Air Reserve Base during the 2018 Wings Over Homestead Air and Space Show, Nov 3 – 4, 2018.
Wings Over Homestead organizers are really excited to have the T-birds and Golden Knights back in Homestead. In 2016, the air show was attended by more than 150,000 people making it one of the largest shows attended in the country.
The Thunderbirds squadron is an Air Combat Command unit composed of eight pilots (including six demonstration pilots), four support officers, four civilians and more than 100 enlisted personnel performing in almost 30 job specialties.
Flying the Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon, more than 280 million people in all 50 states and 57 foreign countries have seen the red, white, and blue jets in more than 3,500 aerial demonstrations.
